Packaging, Inspection & Delivery

5083 tubes are bundled by OD/wall, capped at both ends, wrapped with VCI film and waterproof paper, then loaded into plywood crates or steel racks for ocean freight. Each shipment includes mill test certificate (MTC), chemical and mechanical reports, and EN 10204 3.1 on request. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) can be arranged.

Yes. 5083 is a marine-grade alloy. Tempers H116 and H321 are specifically selected for saltwater service because they resist intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion.

Common tempers are O, H111, H112, H116 and H321. O temper is best for bending, while H116/H321 are preferred for structural marine applications.

Yes. 5083 has excellent weldability. Use ER5356 or ER5556 filler wire with argon shielding gas. Post-weld heat treatment is not required.

ER5356 is the standard choice for most 5083 welds. ER5556 is used when higher weld strength is required.

5083 offers higher as-welded strength and is the first choice for heavy marine structures. 5086 is slightly more formable and economical for lighter welded frames.

5083 is stronger and more corrosion-resistant in saltwater, making it better for marine and offshore. 5052 is easier to form and is ideal for general fluid lines and decorative parts.
